Open Doors Celebration at Gaál Mansion
In the summer of 2025, we organized the first “Open Doors Celebration at Gaál Mansion” in Dalnic — a community-focused open day. The aim was to open the mansion’s gates to locals and visitors and to present its atmosphere and community role through a full-day program.
On June 14, families, groups of friends, and visitors of all ages filled the courtyard and buildings with life. From 12 p.m., creative workshops and children’s activities took place, with parents also joining in the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The afternoon and evening focused on tradition and shared experiences: a Székely folk dance performance, the Dalnic Women’s Choir, and later a film screening with a discussion featuring the filmmakers. The day concluded with a shared campfire.
Admission was free throughout the day, and guests enjoyed grilled dishes, refreshments, and gingerbread.
The event became a true meeting point between past and present, locals and visitors. The strong interest and positive feedback confirmed that the Open Doors Celebration may become a lasting tradition at Gaál Mansion.
